Overview The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs. This position focuses on enhancing the quality of life for residents by promoting independence and ensuring their daily needs are met. The DSP will work closely with clients to implement care plans, support personal goals, and ensure a safe and clean living environment. Duties Assist clients with daily outings that align with their interests and likes. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs and preferences. Accompany individual to volunteer activities to ensure inclusion within the community. Support residents in participating in community activities and social events to promote engagement. Assist individual with supports in the home setting (laundry, cooking). Skills Experience in caregiving is preferred. Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. Familiarity with resident rights and advocacy for individuals with disabilities. Ability to physically be able to walk outside for at least 10 minutes. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality support to those in need. Pay:
$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 19.0 per week
