A Home Health Aide helps individuals who are disabled, elderly, or chronically ill with daily tasks, such as dressing, washing, and light housekeeping. They can care for patients in their homes or other healthcare settings, and may perform basic medical care under the direction of a nurse or other medical professional. These roles typically require more comprehensive agency-approved training programs.
Ganister Station Adult Day Service is hiring Direct Support Professionals in the Mineral Point, and Windber Are you caring, compassionate, dependable, and hard working? If so, we welcome you to join our team. No college education required. Experience helpful, on the job training will be provided. Drivers license required, must be able to pass a background check and have a good driving record. You will be working directly with adults with intellectual disabilities. Job duties include, but are not limited to, facilitating, and engaging individuals in activities both in the facility and community setting. Providing supervision, both within the facility, and in the community. Assisting individuals with some personal care including, but no limited to, toileting, feeding, and some lifting, as well as assisting with, and teaching daily living skills. Schedule is Monday through Friday, closed weekends, and major holidays, with paid holidays after 90 days.
