Job Description

We are looking for experienced CNAs to staff our rapidly growing patient census as full-time, Home Health Aides. We are hiring in all service areas in RI, Southeastern MA and surrounding communities. We need to fill 4 more, full-time, benefitted openings in our Home Health & Hospice care programs. If you're an experienced CNA and interested in working for us, please apply today. You will begin accruing this time in your first pay period. These positions will work Monday through Friday and include an every other weekend and every other holiday rotation commitment. The weekend and holiday rotations are dependent upon patient census and staffing. All weekend hours worked are paid at a differential rate. We have positions available working in the Providence/Johnston/Cranston area and positions available working in the Aquidneck Island and surrounding communities area . Employees hired for a specific area may be asked to see patients in other areas on occasion depending on patient census and staffing. We offer paid mileage to all benefitted CNA/Home Health Aides.
HHA/C.N.A.
Job Summary:
Our Home Health Aides provide personal care to help support and maintain the functioning of home healthcare, palliative and hospice care patients in their homes. Our Aides may perform visits to patients in skilled nursing facilities on occasion and in patient homes. Aides may also perform homemaking and meal prep duties secondary to personal care services. Home Health Aides report to our Clinical Managers.
Education and Experience/Requirements:
1. High school diploma or GED. 2. Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant training program. 3. Licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. If not licensed in Massachusetts at time of hire, Aides will have until their 1 year anniversary with VNHH to obtain their Mass CNA license. 4. Current CPR certification. 5. Minimum 1 year of experience as a CNA or comparable life experience in a facility or home healthcare environment. 6. Current valid driver's license and a reliable automobile covered by insurance.
Job Specifications:
Full-time, 40 hours/week
Schedule:
Monday through Friday Required rotations: up to every other weekend and every other holiday depending on patient census. Employee will have a day off during the week in exchange for working the weekend. Hourly, non-exempt, union position. Benefit eligible.
