Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including home health, assisted living, nursing homes, and community-based programs. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, medication administration, and overall condition; report any concerns promptly Support residents with mobility using manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Document care plans, patient observations, and progress notes accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments or community outings while ensuring safety at all times Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care settings is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation and monitoring with attention to detail Experience working with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous Knowledge of medication administration procedures and vital signs measurement is desirable Familiarity with care plans, resident rights, HIPAA compliance, and patient personal care assistance is essential Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift training or heavy lifting experience are a plus Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration are necessary for success in this role

Pay:

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
