Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant, where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal well-being. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, promote independence, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents across various care settings. Your energy and empathy will help foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages growth and dignity for those you serve. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; report changes to healthcare professionals Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and laundry Observe and document patient behavior, progress, and any concerns related to memory or cognitive changes like dementia or Alzheimer's disease Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to assist with heavy lifting and safe transfers Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home health care environments preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Experience with residents who have developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia care required Familiarity with care plans, HIPAA compliance, and documentation standards in healthcare settings Group home experience or long-term care background is highly valued Certification in CPR and First Aid is essential; additional training in hospice or memory care is a plus Ability to work effectively with individuals requiring assisted living support or hospice care while demonstrating patience and compassion Join us to provide exceptional caregiving that enriches lives!
