A Personal Care Assistant (PCA) helps elderly, chronically ill, or disabled individuals with daily living activities and personal hygiene. They provide vital companionship and essential non-medical support to ensure clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes or care facilities.

Key Responsibilities Personal Care:

Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting.

Mobility Support:

Help clients get in and out of beds, wheelchairs, or vehicles, and assist with walking.

Meal Prep:

Plan and prepare meals according to specific dietary restrictions, and assist with feeding if needed.

Housekeeping & Errands:

Perform light chores (laundry, changing linens, cleaning), run errands, and grocery shop.

Health & Documentation:

Remind clients to take medications, track health changes, and report conditions to medical staff or family.

Companionship:

Provide emotional support, engage in conversations, and accompany clients to appointments or social outings.

Qualifications & Skills Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Pass Background check Can complete daily notes Can follow directions

Certifications:

First Aid and CPR certifications are frequently required.

Physical Ability:

Must be able to bend, stand for long periods, and safely lift or transfer clients (often up to 50 lbs).

Soft Skills:

Exceptional patience, empathy, strong communication, and a compassionate, trustworthy demeanor.

Pay:

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
