Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health status by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall well-being Support medication administration and adherence according to care plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and other manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of client spaces Document patient observations, care activities, and any changes in condition accurately for ongoing care planning Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders enhances your ability to support diverse needs Experience with patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification required or willing to obtain Familiarity with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques necessary for safe assistance Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility tasks safely while adhering to safety standards Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and personalized elder care Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly improve the lives of seniors.
