This rewarding role offers an opportunity to provide attentive, respectful, and personalized assistance in various settings such as private homes, assisted living facilities, or group homes. Your energy and commitment will help promote independence, safety, and well-being for those in your care. All positions are paid, emphasizing the value of your vital contributions. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe health status to ensure safety and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary, ensuring proper food safety standards. Support clients with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality and safety. Provide companionship and emotional support while maintaining respectful communication that upholds residents' rights and dignity. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment to promote overall health. Support clients during transportation for medical appointments or community outings using appropriate personal transportation assistance methods. Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and assist with medication administration accurately. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities is a plus. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or manual handling are advantageous. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks while ensuring client safety during transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration; familiarity with care plans and resident's rights is essential.
