Job Description

Direct Support Professional Duties:
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with autism.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Assisting with medication according to prescribed instructions and document accurately.
  • Implement individualized care plans and behavior support plans.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times.
  • Promote resident rights and advocate for their needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment.
  • Assist with transportation to appointments, activities, and community outings.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain confidentiality of resident information.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to respond to emergencies appropriately.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
