Job Description

As a Direct Service Professional (DSP) your main responsibility is to teach people with disabilities the skills they need to become as independent as possible. You will have the opportunity to provide services for our clients and their families. This position is part-time or as many as 30 hours a week if availability allows.
Supported Living Services:
Supported living is a one on one service with a client doing activities in the community like going to the rec. center, going to the park, playing sports, hiking, going to the library, etc. Sometimes supported living occurs in a person's home if they want to learn how to cook a meal, clean their home, do laundry, etc. Supported living services are geared to what our clients need and want to do and learn. Often supported living time is a lot of fun and time to enjoy being with the client and teaching them skills along the way.
Job Coaching:
Our job coaches, you, go on the job with our clients as a mentor and coach. Our job coaching services involve teaching our client the work tasks and skills they need to maintain their employment and be good employees.
Day Services:
Provide services with a small group of clients together in various community settings. We want our clients with disabilities to have access to their communities and our day program helps them learn the skills they need to be as independent as possible and enjoy time with their peers and others.
Individuals who apply must:
Be able to pass a background check Be 18 or older Be willing to become CPR certified Have reliable transportation Proof of vehicle registration and insurance No more than two driving violations
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
