About the Position Health & Joy Services is seeking dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide in-home support to a person in Ashburn, VA . We are looking for 2-3 DSPs to join the support team. Candidates should be reliable, punctual, patient, and comfortable providing structured, person-centered support in a family home. ABA training or experience supporting people with autism or behavioral support needs is strongly preferred. Schedule Coverage is needed seven days per week:

PM Saturday-Sunday:
9:00 AM-10:00 PM Schedules may be developed based on candidate availability and coverage needs. Full-time employees must work 35+ hours per week . Key Responsibilities Provide person-centered in-home support Assist with personal care and activities of daily living Support medication administration in accordance with training and agency requirements Provide consistent behavioral and routine-based support Support community activities and participation Encourage independence, choice, and skill development Follow the person's established support plan and routines Complete required electronic documentation accurately and on time Use agency systems and technology to complete training, documentation, and other job responsibilities Communicate effectively with the person, family, and support team Reliability and punctuality are especially important for this assignment , as consistency and established routines are an important part of providing effective support. Required Qualifications Ability to successfully complete all required Virginia DSP orientation, training, and competency requirements Ability to successfully complete all required background checks Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain required certification Ability to meet required TB/health screening requirements Basic computer and technology skills Ability to complete required electronic documentation accurately and within established deadlines Ability to assist with personal care and activities of daily living Dependable attendance and punctuality Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working professionally in a family-home environment Comfortable working in a home with friendly dogs Preferred Qualifications Previous DSP, caregiving, direct care, behavioral support, or similar experience ABA training or experience strongly preferred Experience supporting people with autism and/or behavioral support needs Experience providing structured, routine-based support Experience supporting people with community participation and skill development Compensation $21.00 per hour This is an in-home position located in Ashburn, Virginia .
