In Home Support Schedule:
Monday-Sunday, 9:00 AM-7:00 PM Fortis Healthcare Services is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and professional Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver for In home support assignment located in Brambleton, VA. Responsibilities Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care. Provide assistance with mobility, positioning, and transfers. Assist with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and toileting as needed. Assist with meal-related activities and daily household routines. Provide appropriate supervision and support for safety. Encourage independence and participation in daily activities. Support community activities as needed. Follow the individual's established support, safety, and emergency protocols. Complete required service documentation and shift notes accurately and on time. Communicate professionally with the individual, family, supervisors, and other members of the support team. Respect the individual's dignity, privacy, preferences, and choices. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. At least 1 year of paid or volunteer caregiving/direct support experience , preferably supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Comfortable providing hands-on personal care and physical assistance. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to consistently commit to the scheduled shifts. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain required certification. Current TB screening/test or willingness to obtain one. Ability to successfully complete required background screening and onboarding requirements. Driving & Transportation Many of our clients require support accessing their communities. For assignments requiring transportation, applicants must have: A valid driver's license. A reliable personal vehicle. Current automobile insurance. A safe driving record. Willingness and ability to safely transport clients when required. Approved client-related mileage is reimbursed at $0.50 per mile. Why Join Fortis Healthcare Services?
