Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) working Sunday 9pm-9am, Monday and Tuesday from 11PM to 9AM! In this rewarding role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your compassionate approach will make a significant difference in their daily lives as you assist them with various activities and promote their independence. What you'll do Provide direct support to individuals in a group home setting, fostering a nurturing environment. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health, ensuring any changes are documented and communicated effectively. Implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs while promoting their dignity and independence. Engage clients in meaningful activities that enhance their social skills and emotional well-being. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the living space, ensuring a safe environment for all residents. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to provide comprehensive care. Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times. Skills First aid and CPR certification to ensure the safety of all clients. Experience in group home or assisted living environments is highly desirable. Strong patient observation skills to monitor changes in behavior or health conditions. Proficient in cooking and meal preparation tailored to dietary needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for patient mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and medication administration protocols.
