WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide person-centered support to adults receiving residential services. Your role is to help individuals live safely, participate in their community, build independence, and enjoy a meaningful quality of life.
Responsibilities may include:
Supporting individuals with activities of daily living and personal care Assisting with community outings and recreational activities Encouraging independence, choice, and appropriate social interaction Providing emotional and behavioral support when needed Supporting medication routines in accordance with training and company procedures Assisting with meal preparation and healthy food choices Supporting housekeeping, laundry, shopping, and other household routines Providing safe transportation to appointments, activities, and community outings Monitoring health and safety needs and reporting concerns appropriately Following Individual Service Plans and support instructions Completing required documentation accurately and on time Maintaining confidentiality, dignity, respect, and professional boundaries Following all CMJ Positive Change policies, procedures, and safety requirements

Requirements:
Valid driver's license Dependable transportation Ability to successfully complete required background checks Ability to complete required DSP training and certifications Willingness to obtain/maintain First Aid & CPR certification Ability to work professionally as part of a team Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to follow written support plans and complete documentation Compassionate, respectful, and patient approach to supporting adults with developmental disabilities Previous DSP, group home, behavioral health, caregiving, CNA, PCA, residential, or human services experience is preferred, but qualified candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
