Job Description

Job Overview (Locations Warrenton Va, and Culpeper Va) We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals with diverse needs, including those with autism and other developmental disabilities. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care, assistance with daily activities, and fostering independence. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Monitor and document clients' physical and emotional well-being, ensuring any changes are communicated effectively. Provide companionship and engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote social skills and emotional health. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences. Support clients in developing life skills that enhance their independence, including cooking, budgeting, and personal care routines. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and emergency procedures, including First Aid and CPR when necessary. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred. Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Ability to perform patient monitoring tasks while providing compassionate care. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
