Job Description

Nina's Health Care Fairfax is seeking a dependable, organized, and professional Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our home health office. We are a growing agency and are looking for someone who can assist with administrative, staffing, HR, and office coordination responsibilities. Home health experience is strongly preferred, but we are open to training the right candidate who is a quick learner, comfortable with technology, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a healthcare office.
Pay:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
NO BENEFITS OFFERED AT THIS TIME. FULL TIME POSITION ONLY.
Responsibilities include: Assist with employee onboarding, applications, and collection of required employment documents Review employee files for missing, incomplete, or expiring documents and follow up as needed Enter and maintain employee information in the agency's electronic medical record/EMR system Assist with tracking employee credentials, competencies, evaluations, annual in-services, and other required documentation Contact nurses, therapists, aides, and other staff regarding outstanding paperwork, training, competencies, or scheduling needs Assist with staffing and scheduling by contacting available clinicians and caregivers for patient assignments or coverage Provide applicants and employees with required forms, orientation materials, and training/in-service information Assist with maintaining organized personnel and administrative records Prepare basic correspondence, letters, forms, and documents using Microsoft Word and other office programs Answer phones, communicate professionally with staff, applicants, patients, providers, and other healthcare offices Help maintain daily office operations when management staff are working outside of the office Assist the Office Manager and Director with additional administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; previous administrative or office experience preferred; home health, healthcare, staffing, HR, or medical office experience strongly preferred; comfortable using computers, Microsoft Word, email, electronic systems, and learning new software; strong organization and follow-up skills; able to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing; able to work independently and prioritize tasks; dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable following up with employees regarding required documentation; must maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling employee and patient information. What we're looking for: Someone who takes initiative, follows through, notices when something is missing, and is comfortable reaching out to staff to get things completed. The right person does not need to know everything on day one, but should be willing to learn our processes, EMR system, and home health requirements.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
