Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team . The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. This role involves working closely with clients in various settings, including home care and community environments, while ensuring their safety and well-being. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Monitor and document client progress and behaviors, ensuring adherence to individualized care plans. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Implement strategies to support clients with disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including First Aid procedures when necessary. Assist with heavy lifting as required for mobility support or transfers. Maintain confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Skills Proficiency in patient monitoring techniques to assess health status and respond appropriately. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly in home care or memory care settings. Strong observational skills to identify changes in client behavior or health conditions. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and team members. A compassionate approach towards supporting individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.
