In this vital role, you'll provide compassionate, personalized support to individuals with developmental and cognitive disabilities, empowering them to live fulfilling lives within their communities. Duties Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks Support clients in developing social skills and community participation through engaging activities and outings Use effective behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and emotional well-being Provide transportation assistance using standard passenger cars for appointments, errands, and community events Communicate clearly with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistent care and support plans are followed Monitor client safety and well-being during activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures Document client progress, incidents, and care activities accurately in compliance with agency policies Requirements Experience working with individuals with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, or disabilities preferred Knowledge of special education practices, behavior management strategies, and behavioral health principles Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely and confidently for client transportation needs Familiarity with home & community care settings and supporting clients with cognitive disabilities Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members Certification in First Aid and CPR required; ongoing training provided if needed Personal transportation assistance experience is a plus; must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record Join us in creating an inclusive environment where every individual is valued!
