Job Description

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides compassionate, dependable, and person-centered care to clients in the comfort of their homes. The PCA assists clients with activities of daily living, personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other non-medical support services that promote safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life. The ideal candidate is dependable, respectful, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional care while maintaining professional boundaries and client confidentiality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene. Assist with mobility, positioning, transfers, and ambulation as appropriate. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Prepare and serve meals according to the client's preferences and care plan. Provide medication reminders as permitted by the client's care plan and applicable regulations. Assist with grocery shopping, errands, and other essential household needs. Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and organization of the client's living area. Assist clients with maintaining a safe and clean home environment. Provide support to clients with dementia and other age-related needs according to their individualized care plan. Observe and report changes in the client's physical, emotional, or behavioral condition to the appropriate supervisor. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided. Follow all client care plans, company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Protect client privacy and maintain confidentiality of all personal and healthcare information. Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients, families, caregivers, and members of the healthcare team. Attend required staff meetings, orientations, and in-service training. Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, reliability, and respect at all times. Perform other duties related to client care as assigned.
Pay:
$12.71 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 56.0 per week
