Job Summary The Day Support Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides direct care, supervision, and support to individuals with disabilities in a day support setting. The DSP assists individuals with daily living skills, socialization, communication, recreational activities, and community participation while promoting independence and personal choice. The DSP is responsible for implementing individualized service plans, maintaining a safe and supportive environment, documenting services and activities, monitoring individuals' health and safety, and communicating effectively with supervisors and team members. The DSP will also encourage individuals to participate in meaningful activities that support their personal goals and development. The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, patient, and committed to providing quality, person-centered support. The DSP must maintain confidentiality, follow all HCL policies and procedures, complete required training, and provide services in accordance with each individual's needs and plan of care. Duties Provide direct support and supervision to individuals during day support activities. Assist individuals with daily living skills, socialization, and community activities. Follow individual service plans and promote independence and personal choice. Complete required documentation and communicate any concerns regarding individuals' health, safety, or well-being to the appropriate supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned or as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred. Valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a standard passenger vehicle. Previous home and community-based care experience is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and team members. Experience assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and providing compassionate caregiving support. Current CPR and First Aid certification required, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire. Schedule Monday

Pay:

$15.50

•$16.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.0 per week
