Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, and hygiene Support residents with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and health assessments in compliance with HIPAA regulations Facilitate engaging activities that promote socialization, cognitive development, and emotional well-being Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning in accordance with dietary needs and care plans Ensure a safe environment by performing light cleaning, maintaining cleanliness of living spaces, and adhering to safety protocols such as manual handling and patient transfer methods like the Hoyer lift Observe and document client progress, behavior changes, and health status accurately for care plans and communication with healthcare teams Provide transportation assistance for appointments, community outings, or errands as needed Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism Ability to perform patient monitoring tasks including vital signs, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification required or obtainable upon hire Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is a strong plus Capable of heavy lifting, manual handling, and assisting with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and team members while respecting residents' rights Valid driver's license for personal transportation assistance; clean driving record preferred Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards Join us to be part of a supportive environment where your dedication directly impacts lives!
