This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence while maintaining dignity and respect. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to prescribed schedules Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings to foster social engagement and mobility Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment in clients' living spaces Use proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safety during patient transfers Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or dementia such as Alzheimer's or other memory care needs Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, patient monitoring, and recognizing signs of distress or health deterioration Familiarity with care plans, medication administration protocols, and resident's rights within long-term care or assisted living settings Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently in emergency situations; certified training preferred Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly valued Competency in using patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts and understanding vital signs measurement procedures Join us in making a meaningful difference by providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
