Shifts that are available: Schedule I (40 hours): Thursday and Friday (7am-7pm) , Saturday & Sunday (7am-3pm) Schedule J (8-24 hours): Fridays & every other Saturday and Sunday (7am-3pm) Schedule K (16 hours): Saturday and Sunday (7am-3pm) Schedule L (8 hours): Saturday and Sunday from 3pm-7pm Schedule M (16 hours): Saturday and Sunday from 3pm-11pm Schedule N (32 hours): Monday, Wednesday, & every other Saturday and Sunday from 11pm-7am Are you looking for a job where you can make a difference in people's lives? In this role, you will provide one-on-one support to young men with profound autism , who may have limited expressive speech, unique communication styles, and sensory needs. These individuals are active, engaging, and enjoy meaningful routines, relationships, and community involvement. Your work will help them remain safe, independent, and confident in their daily lives. You will support clients in building independence with daily living skills such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, laundry, and grocery shopping. You will also help foster a sense of community by supporting shared meals, group activities, and outings, as well as assisting with meaningful work opportunities such as gardening and agriculture-based projects. Encourage and support clients in participating in activities outside the home, helping them stay socially engaged and connected with their community. 2. Apply appropriate communication strategies when working with non-verbal clients, helping reduce confusion or anxiety by recognizing non-verbal cues and responding with patience and reassurance. 3. Provide client with hygiene care as directed including, but not limited to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, medication reminder 4. Prepare and administer meals in accordance to client's diet 5. Support life skills development, social engagement, and personal growth. 6. Develop and promote a safe environment for quality client care through adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards 7. Observe changes and report any changes to the Director of Nursing 8. Ensure client's rights are adhered to Requirements It is preferred that you have experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, or autism. Over 18 years of age Licensed driver with reliable transportation Auto insurance in accordance with the organization's requirements if transporting clients Minimum one (1) year of documented experience preferred Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision after initial training Empathy for the needs of the client Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively Treats clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image Works as a team member Availability to work weekends is a plus Ensures confidentiality and security of the client's medical information (HIPAA) Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
