Overview We are seeking compassionate and skilled Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team that have open availability to work BOTH 1st and 2nd shifts! Join Genesee Lake School, a MyPath Company , as a Direct Support Professional and help students build skills, confidence, and greater independence. DSPs work directly with students throughout their school day, residential setting, and community activities , providing hands-on support, encouragement, and structure. What You'll Do Support and engage students throughout their daily routines Assist with personal care, meals, hygiene, and other daily living needs Help students develop social, emotional, behavioral, and independent living skills Provide classroom support during the school day Participate in recreational activities and community outings Follow individualized support and behavior plans Respond to challenging situations using approved crisis intervention techniques Communicate and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other team members Schedule This position requires flexibility and includes: A combination of 1st shift (approximately 6/7am-2/3pm) and 2nd shift (approximately 2/3pm-10/11pm) Monday-Friday Rotating 16-hour weekend shifts (7am-11pm) Rotating holidays What You'll Need High school diploma or GED Must be at least 21 years old Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (Preferred) Ability to remain calm and effective in challenging or emergency situations Ability to complete required training and safely use approved physical intervention techniques Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred, but not required Benefits Genesee Lake School offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, PTO, 401(k), employee ownership through MyPath's ESOP, tuition reimbursement, student loan pay-down assistance, on-demand access to earned wages, and more.
