Job Description
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene
- Implement individualized care plans and behavior support strategies
- Support individuals in community integration and social activities
- Administer first aid when necessary
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for individuals
- Assist with meal preparation and medication administration
- The ability to work one respite Saturday per month.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to drive a transport van
- Ability to pass WI caregiver background check.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving, nursing homes, or related fields preferred
- Familiarity with working with people with autism or developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Certification in First Aid/CPR upon hire
- Comfortable using systems for documentation and reporting
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to drive a transport van
- Ability to pass WI caregiver background check.
