Milwaukee, Waukesha & Racine Counties Position Summary Bridging Gapss, LLC is seeking dependable, compassionate, and flexible Respite Workers/DSPs to provide supportive respite services to children, youth, and families. Services may be provided in the individual's home, community, or other approved settings . The Respite Worker will provide supervision, support, companionship, and assistance with meaningful activities while providing caregivers with scheduled relief. Schedule Requirements Flexible availability is required. Contractors must be willing to accept assignments that may include: Early morning shifts beginning as early as 7:00 AM Evening shifts not extending past 7:00 PM-7:30PM Saturday availability Sunday availability Weekday and weekend assignments based on client needs Applicants must be comfortable working outside of a traditional Monday-Friday daytime schedule. Key Responsibilities Provide respite services in the client's home and community settings. Provide appropriate supervision and support. Assist individuals with recreational, social, and community activities. Encourage independence and positive social interaction. Follow the individual's service plan and agency requirements. Maintain a safe and supportive environment. Communicate professionally with families and Bridging Gapss supervisors. Complete required service notes and documentation within agency deadlines. Accurately record service time. Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Qualifications Experience working with children, youth, individuals with disabilities, caregiving, childcare, behavioral health, or human services preferred. High school diploma/GED preferred. Reliable transportation required for community-based assignments. Ability to work independently in client homes and community settings. Must pass required background checks. Must be dependable, professional, patient, and compassionate. 1099 Independent Contractor This position is classified as a 1099 Independent Contractor . Contractors are responsible for their own applicable taxes and are not eligible for employee benefits.
