Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their overall well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Duties Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Monitor and observe patients' health and well-being, documenting vital signs as needed. Assist with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Support individuals in engaging in recreational activities and community outings. Facilitate communication between clients and their families or healthcare providers. Implement individualized care plans as directed by healthcare professionals. Assist clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Qualifications Experience in patient monitoring or patient observation is preferred. Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. A background in nursing or assisted living settings is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others achieve independence. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
