This position requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to accurately apply grading criteria established by the instructor while supporting the overall instructional mission of the department. Responsibilities Assist faculty with grading quizzes, homework assignments, laboratory reports, exams, and other course-related materials according to instructor guidelines. Apply grading rubrics and departmental standards consistently and accurately. Maintain confidentiality of student records, grades, and academic information. Record and organize grading data as directed by faculty. Assist with the preparation and organization of instructional and course materials. Communicate professionally with faculty regarding grading assignments, timelines, and questions. Support faculty with administrative tasks related to course management as needed. Meet established grading deadlines and maintain accuracy in all assigned work. Perform other academic support duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to perform accurate, consistent work. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive academic information responsibly. Ability to follow detailed instructions and grading criteria. Reliable, dependable, and able to meet deadlines. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and common educational technology platforms. Desired Qualifications Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common workplace technology tools. Experience managing multiple tasks and priorities in a professional setting. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Interest in chemistry, higher education, or academic support services. Experience working with faculty, staff, students, or in a team-based environment. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and departmental needs. Training will be provided on grading expectations, departmental procedures, academic confidentiality requirements, and course-specific responsibilities.
