What You'll Do Independently evaluate the quality of pharmaceutical chemical products using analytical data and sound judgment Perform both routine and non-routine laboratory testing using a variety of techniques Conduct analyses using FT-IR, Loss on Drying, Non-Volatile Residue, moisture (including Karl Fischer), and related methods Operate and maintain HPLC and GC systems for sample analysis Accurately document laboratory work, observations, and results in organized lab notebooks Troubleshoot instruments and perform basic maintenance to ensure minimal downtime Apply critical thinking to interpret results and make quality determinations Support quality control operations, including peer review of laboratory data Utilize computer systems for instrument operation, data collection, and reporting Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a strong safety mindset in all lab activities What You Bring Proven ability to analyze data and make informed quality decisions independently Hands-on experience with pharmaceutical or chemical laboratory testing Working knowledge of FT-IR, moisture analysis (KF or equivalent), and related techniques Experience operating HPLC and GC instrumentation Strong documentation skills and attention to detail Ability to troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment Solid understanding of chemical compatibility and safe handling practices Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Comfort working with specialized lab equipment and QC systems Flexibility to support a 24/7/365 lab environment, including various shifts Preferred Qualifications Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific field (or equivalent experience) Prior experience in a quality control laboratory setting Familiarity with pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing environments Interest in joining a stable, growth-oriented organization with a strong commitment to quality and safety Why You'll Love This Opportunity Work with advanced analytical technology in a professional lab environment Be part of a team that directly impacts product quality and safety Gain experience in a fast-paced, highly regulated industry Join an organization known for stability, strong leadership, and high standards Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Cordova, CA.
