Job Summary The NAND Test Lab Operations Support Technician will provide day-to-day operational and technical support for semiconductor/NAND test lab equipment and processes. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining automated test systems and handlers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing preventive maintenance and calibration, managing test equipment and interface hardware, and supporting material processing and data collection within the lab. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day operational support for NAND semiconductor test lab equipment and assigned tool sets. Follow all laboratory safety procedures and participate in routine safety audits. Manage hazardous and chemical supplies in accordance with site, local, and state safety requirements. Operate Advantest M67xxAD automated handlers and Advantest tester systems. Operate Teradyne Nextest Magnum tester systems in Windows and user-interface environments. Set up automated test processing based on tester and handler interface hardware requirements. Install and configure Change Kits and Device-Specific Adapters (DSAs) for different semiconductor devices and test applications. Troubleshoot Advantest handler pick-and-place errors with minimal supervision to maintain continuous material flow. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and thermal calibration on automated handlers. Execute tester diagnostics and troubleshoot failures down to the board level. Perform voltage and timing calibration routines to meet OEM specifications. Support and troubleshoot tester chiller systems, including internal distribution and facility process chilled-water systems. Monitor and report equipment Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) metrics. Collect, analyze, and report real-time equipment performance data to internal teams and equipment manufacturers. Maintain test equipment and measurement tooling according to preventive maintenance and calibration schedules. Track interface hardware and test tooling using inventory management systems. Support laboratory workflow and material movement from incoming through outgoing processing. Troubleshoot and resolve standard and non-standard hardware and software issues. Create technical documentation, including troubleshooting flowcharts, procedures, and step-by-step work instructions. Provide training and technical guidance to test-development users on test equipment and tooling. Support lab material forecasting and planning activities in coordination with management and finance teams. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, process optimization, and cost reduction. Take ownership of assigned equipment, tooling, material processing, and data-collection activities. Ensure timely processing of materials and test data to support product-development schedules. Maintain accurate records and reports using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Required Qualifications Hands-on experience with semiconductor test equipment, preferably Advantest and/or Teradyne systems. Experience with memory/NAND semiconductor testing or a semiconductor test laboratory environment. Experience operating automated semiconductor handlers and troubleshooting pick-and-place issues. Knowledge of tester hardware configuration, diagnostics, calibration, and board-level troubleshooting. Experience with preventive maintenance and calibration of test equipment. Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues in a laboratory/test environment. Understanding of semiconductor tester architecture and memory test applications. Experience working with temperature-controlled testing, chillers, or process cooling systems is preferred. Ability to work safely around laboratory equipment and hazardous/chemical materials. Strong technical documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
