Job Description
Job description Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience as a laboratory technician OR 2 years of college education in chemistry or related field.
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel
- Preferred but not required: experience with viscometers, durometers, and tensile testers.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
- Quality control background is preferred but not required.
Job Description:
- Receive samples and perform laboratory testing in compliance with established specifications and standard operating procedures.
- Work with chemicals (Lead, chromate, manganese, jet fuel, etc.)
- Scheduling of batches for testing
- Record test data
- Generate routine reports
- Production batch approval
- Production batch rejection
- Determining proper batch adjustments to be made if needed
- Maintain laboratory equipment and tools clean, safe and in good conditions.
- Work with other technicians to complete laboratory tasks within assigned timelines
- Follow proper waste disposal and recycling methodologies
