Job Summary The QA Technician is responsible for the testing of samples using various analytical analyses. This position serves to ensure that laboratory procedures are being performed within specified quality guidelines, these include but not limited to the following: providing technical resource, ongoing analytical support, gathering samples in the production environment Essential Job Functions

• Follow appropriate methods and SOPS on all tasks. Maintain quality control records.
• Ensure laboratory equipment's are maintained and calibrated.
• Responsible for accurate performance of testing, recording and sampling of products and ingredients.
• To perform the analysis and pass the information in a timely and accurate flow to the plant staff and management is required.
• Read, calculate, record data in Laboratory Data System (QA Studio).
• Perform rapid test methods
• Read, enter and evaluate process control samples
• Support root cause analysis investigations and suggest appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare sample for analysis by recording, weighing and blending.
• Read, calculate and record analysis data to produce a report for the client. Correct any discrepancies that occur on the worksheet.
• Support quality and continuous improvement process.
• Must participate in cleaning schedule and maintain retain samples as required.
• Update equipment records on forms or in software systems as needed.
• Must keep up-to-date on assigned training.
• Adhere to all safety policies.
• Responsibility to support laboratory management in the implementation maintenance, and improvement of the management system.
• Perform other lab related tasks as needed such as pH, brix, butter fat, total solids testing, micros, etc.
• Has a responsibility to support and assist in the execution of the Food Safety and Quality Systems.
• Must enjoy working with others in a respectful environment that emphasizes continuous improvement, and coaching and skills development.
• Thorough knowledge of warehousing and food production workplace health and safety regulations.
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple ongoing tasks, and deal with change.

• Other duties as assigned for growth and development. Required Education and Experience
• 2-3 years of experience.
• The candidate must have a general knowledge of analytical testing and equipment set up and calibrations, to accurately perform testing procedures and obtain the correct results.
• Basic lab equipment and analytical knowledge is needed.
• A basic knowledge of food science is necessary to analyze the content of samples.
• A basic knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and practices is required to ensure a safe working environment.
• Interpersonal skills are required to effectively work within teams.
• Planning skills are useful to maintain supplies of analysis materials and ensure that analysis is completed within specified time period.
• Proficient in computer skills including Excel, Word, Emails, etc.
• Will be expected to work with minimal supervision.

Work Environment They must be able to work in a busy and sometimes noisy manufacturing facility and warehouse. Must work as needed in various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces, including a frozen warehouse environment. Must be willing to provide training or other services on all shifts, as necessary. Must wear personal protective equipment as defined/required by job assignments.
