Our products are produced with the highest standards for quality, safety, cleanliness, efficiency, and compliance. In addition to producing solventless cannabis products, this position requires the Solventless Lab Technician to measure and package concentrates in different increments and packaging. Duties and responsibilities
- Manage, evaluate, and designate raw cannabis plant material into various production batches.
- Extract plant material into various products following all applicable laws and regulations, company standard operating procedures, and quality control requirements.
- Wash fresh frozen cannabis.
- Properly handle and process raw materials and extracts in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, company standard operating procedures, and quality control requirements.
- Properly operate, clean, and maintain all equipment, facilities, and other materials.
- Properly handle chemicals and follow safe guidelines for chemical use, storage, and waste in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, company standard operating procedures, and quality control requirements.
- Perform quality assurance and control point checks to ensure that all products are properly produced, free of filth and contamination, fall within a certain aesthetic quality, and always remain in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, company standard operating procedures, and quality control requirements.
- Package and label products properly in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, company standard operating procedures, and quality control requirements.
- Aid other production departments (e.g., packaging, gramming, pre-rolls, etc.) when necessary.
- Notify the VP of Operations of any and all discrepancies, low materials inventory, required maintenance, equipment malfunctions/failure, chemical spills, broken glassware, etc.
- Ensure that all production activity is approved, properly logged, and recorded. This includes any applicable research, development, or other events/variables/produced materials that are of notable interest.
- Consistently strive for quality, efficiency, compliance, and any other areas of potential improvement.
- Understand and act in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, company standard operating procedures, and quality control requirements.
- Additional duties as may be assigned by leadership. Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division Employee Badge.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently and with others.
- Must be capable of frequent and repetitive hand movements.
- Must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a cannabis extraction lab.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience handling, using, and disposing of chemicals.
- Must be able to bend, squat, crouch, kneel and walk intermittently throughout the day.
- Ability to complete necessary tasks that require physical effort.
- METRC experience strongly preferred.
Working conditions Employees will be required to work in a walk-in refrigerator for the production of solventless concentrates. The primary workspace of this position will be in the solventless production area. The Solventless Lab Technician will be required to dress in warm and waterproof clothing, as they will be working in a temperature of approximately 32 degrees Fahrenheit. The company will also provide required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will handle materials such as raw cannabis, cannabis concentrate, cannabis-based products, and various chemicals and solvents, among other materials. Physical requirements This position requires that employees work on their feet for extended periods of time including an eight hour shift. This position may require the lifting of objects up to 75 lbs. This position will be required to handle raw cannabis, cannabis concentrate, cannabis-based products, and various chemicals and solvents, among other materials, which may warrant the use of PPE, such as as gloves, eye protection, and other PPE.
Pay:
$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
