Job Description

Based in Ridgway, PA, we are a specialized testing company providing corrosion exposure, environmental, mechanical, and materials testing services to customers across a wide range of industries throughout the global economy. From aerospace and automotive to agriculture, construction, defense/military, and energy/oil, our testing solutions help customers ensure their products meet demanding performance, durability, and compliance standards in real-world conditions. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for all assigned lab testing, equipment, and support activities. Lab technician must operate safely, quickly and in a manner of quality consistent with the requirements of accreditations of the laboratory. This is a Temporary , first shift, on-site role at the Assured Testing Services facility in Ridgway, PA.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate environmental exposure chambers and associated documentation according to requirements Prepare samples for testing according to standard operating procedures or customer specified requirements Prepare and maintain electrolyte solutions for exposure chambers Perform testing per procedures and evaluate tested samples in accordance with pass/fail criteria as specified by customers or governing spec. Testing requirements vary and may include placement of samples into exposure chambers, metallurgical evaluations, or mechanical testing Performance of non-exposure testing, including adhesion, bend, abrasion, gloss, chip, and others as necessary Comply with all Assured Testing Services policies, ISO standards, safety procedures, and maintain clean, orderly laboratory space Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Laboratory Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree or higher in relevant field or equivalent experience 1-2 years' experience in a laboratory-comparable setting Ability to work with Microsoft Office Applications Results oriented attitude with a proven track record of ensuring key deadlines are met Efficient organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail Strong communication, analytical, reading and writing skills Ability to review and understand laboratory testing requirements This position requires use of information or access to processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export laws including but not limited to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
