Timber Products Inspection, Inc. (TP) is an independent, third-party wood products inspection, testing, and consulting company with corporate headquarters located in Peachtree City GA, laboratory facilities located in Conyers GA, and field representatives located throughout the United States as well as internationally. This position is based out of our laboratory facilities in Conyers GA. TP's laboratories offer three different testing disciplines (Physical, Analytical and Biomass Laboratories). Our current opening is for Analytical Laboratory Technician . Laboratory technicians can transition between laboratories as opportunities present if qualified. Job Duties and Responsibilities :

This candidate will work under the direction of the Analytical Lab Manager. The Lab Technician will be responsible for preparing samples for analytical procedures, performing approved analytical procedures on received samples, assisting in completion of projects, performing daily checks on laboratory ovens and balances, and assigning and logging samples/data into the laboratory database.

Required Skills/Abilities :

Knowledge of computers with attention to details is important Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and especially Excel Ability to express ideas clearly in both oral and written communications

Starting Pay:

$20 per hour (based on $41,600/yr) for skilled professionals. Work schedule is most commonly Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Schedules may be staggered to facilitate equipment uptime or weekend testing obligations. Some overtime.
