In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately processing and managing biological samples, ensuring adherence to laboratory procedures, and maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality. Your expertise will support diagnostic testing, research activities, and clinical workflows, contributing directly to quality patient care and medical research outcomes. Responsibilities Collect, process, and prepare biological specimens such as blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, and tissue samples following strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Operate laboratory information systems (LIS) to accurately enter data, track specimens, and generate reports in compliance with CLIA regulations. Manage specimen storage, labeling, and transportation within the laboratory to ensure sample integrity. Assist with laboratory management tasks including inventory control of supplies and reagents, maintaining equipment calibration logs, and adhering to quality assurance standards. Support research laboratory activities by performing routine tests, maintaining detailed records of procedures, and following research protocols precisely. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and clients regarding specimen collection procedures while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Ensure compliance with Lab policies, CLIA regulations, and safety standards related to specimen handling and laboratory procedures. Requirements Proven experience in medical laboratory work or clinical laboratory settings with a strong understanding of laboratory techniques and procedures. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical confidentiality policies essential for accurate specimen processing. Hands-on experience with venipuncture patients is highly desirable. Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) for data entry, specimen tracking, and report generation. Ability to follow aseptic techniques rigorously to prevent contamination during sample handling. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing biological samples efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration within a hospital or research environment. Ability to recognise different insurances and eligibility check.
