A Sleep Laboratory Technician, also known as a polysomnographic technician, performs tests and collects data on patients with sleep disorders. Responsible for giving patients explanations of the impending sleep tests and procedures, preparing equipment for the procedures, recording activities and analyzing results - all while working under the advisement of a clinical director and/or sleep technologist.

Night Shift Full-Time Responsibilities Performs polysomnography Scores records Performs routine maintenance Calibrates testing equipment Evaluates patients for sleep related breathing disorders, seizure disorders, narcolepsy, etc. Must-Haves Graduate of a Respiratory Care Program, or Completed the A-STEP Program from the American Academy of Sleep, or Graduate of a CAAHEP Program Must have RPSGT credential from the BRPT, or SDS cred from NBRC, or RST cred from ABSM

•If candidate does not have the RPSGT, RST or SDS credential, must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist from the NBRC and be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCPC) by the IPLA and pass the RPSGT, RST or SDS within 1 year of being eligible to sit for the exam. #allied

Pay:

$27.51 - $41.26 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
