A Sleep Laboratory Technician, also known as a polysomnographic technician, performs tests and collects data on patients with sleep disorders. Responsible for giving patients explanations of the impending sleep tests and procedures, preparing equipment for the procedures, recording activities and analyzing results - all while working under the advisement of a clinical director and/or sleep technologist.

Polysomnography Tech | Parkview Health Whitley & Wabash locations $15,000 Sign-on Bonus! Shift Differential Responsibilities Performs polysomnography Scores records Performs routine maintenance and calibration of testing equipment Performs related clerical work and required documentation Evaluates patients for sleep related breathing disorders and other sleep abnormalities Qualifications Must be a graduate or a Respiratory Care Program; or completed the A-STEP Program from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine; or a graduate of a CAAHEP program Must have RPSGT credential from BRPT, or SDS credential from the NBRC, or RST credential from the ABSM If candidate does not have RPSGT, RST, or SDS, must be an RRT from NBRC and RCPC by the IPLA, and pass the RPSGT, RST, or SDS within 1 year of being eligible to sit for exam. CPR cert required 1 year experience preferred 6 months in pediatrics preferred #
Allied Pay:
$27.51 - $41.26 per hour
