Job Description

Astbury maintains an entrepreneurial business philosophy dedicated to serving the market's needs. Job Description Astbury is seeking a laboratory technician for our Northwest Regional Laboratory. This position will primarily involve the testing of drinking water and wastewater samples. More specifically, this job entails: learning and following Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs); cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment; maintaining necessary documentation for Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC); preparing and maintaining records and computer files; and working to ensure a safe work environment at all times. Candidates must be reliable and organized with a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with lab personnel to complete daily analytical testing workload
- Serving as primary quality control for other laboratory technicians
- Maintaining records and entering results in LIMS
- Maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies and reordering as needed.
- Serving as office/administrative support for field staff Skills and Certification A general laboratory background is preferred.
