The MLT will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and research activities. This role requires a strong foundation in laboratory techniques, specimen processing, and data management, ensuring accurate and timely results. Key Responsibilities:

Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques Perform laboratory assays including ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and other diagnostic tests Manage laboratory data accurately using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and ensure proper documentation Conduct RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and blood banking procedures following established protocols Maintain laboratory equipment, perform routine calibration, and troubleshoot technical issues promptly Support clinical trials by preparing specimens and recording detailed results for research purposes Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and medical terminology standards Assist in specimen collection through venipuncture and phlebotomy while ensuring patient comfort Monitor vital signs when necessary during sample collection or patient interaction Contribute to laboratory management tasks including inventory control, quality assurance, and record keeping

Requirements:

Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent credential Proven experience in clinical laboratories with proficiency in laboratory procedures such as blood sampling, immunoassays, PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, and blood banking Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and laboratory techniques Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data entry and management Experience working within hospital or clinical settings with an understanding of specimen collection/processing protocols Ability to perform venipuncture and phlebotomy accurately while maintaining aseptic technique Competence in interpreting laboratory results related to blood samples and other specimens Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and data analysis Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and hospital procedures related to patient care If you are dedicated to advancing healthcare through precise laboratory work and possess the necessary technical expertise, we encourage you to apply for this vital role.
