Polysomnographic Technician / Polysomnography

•Night Shift (Travel / Local)

Pay Rate:

$45

•$54/ hr

Location:
Shreveport, LA Schedule:

12-Hour Nights | 36

Hours Guaranteed Position Type:

Contract Schedule Shift:

6:45 PM

•7:15 AM (12-hour nights)

Guaranteed Hours:

36 hours per week

Schedule Pattern:

Alternating 36 / 48 hours per week

Thurs-Sat or Mon-Thurs We are seeking an experienced Polysomnographic Technician / Polysomnographer to join a sleep lab team providing diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies for pediatric through geriatric patients. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to work independently overnight, and experience with PAP therapy and sleep monitoring equipment.

1:2 Pediatric under age 6: 1:1 Patient Population Outpatient Pediatrics to Geriatrics Morbid obesity patients Common Sleep Disorders Obstructive & Central Sleep Apnea Narcolepsy Parasomnias Sleep-related movement disorders Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for overnight sleep studies (polysomnography) Perform PAP mask fittings prior to testing Monitor sleep data including: Oxygen saturation Respiratory rate Heart rate Body position and movements Apply and monitor electrodes, bands, thermistors, and probes Operate and troubleshoot sleep monitoring equipment Assist with CPAP and BiPAP therapy Provide patient education regarding testing procedures Document results in the EMR system Assist patients with basic care and ambulation when needed

Alice Sleepware G3 (transitioning to Nihon Kohden) Minimum Requirements ✔ 1+ year of Polysomnography experience (more preferred) ✔ Previous travel experience required ✔ Comfortable working with pediatric through geriatric patients ✔ Ability to work independently overnight ✔ Strong troubleshooting and technical skills Required Certifications BLS (Basic Life Support) RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) or RRT-SDS Louisiana State License BI01

Pay:

$50.00

•$54.00 per hour Expected hours: 48.0 per week
