Position:
Lab Technician/Analyst Primary Report to:
Lab Lead Technician/Analyst Primary Supervision of:
None Required Qualification:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience and a minimum 12 hours of college chemistry. 3 years of medical or industrial lab experience in a main facility lab as a lab technician may be substituted for college chemistry.
Responsibilities / Key
Activities Perform routine and special process, product, raw material, and environmental sample analyses using chemical, physical, and instrument methods of analysis. Monitor and maintain supply levels of lab equipment, chemicals, and materials. Perform calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, development and other instrument, computer and methodology related work. Collect environmental and special samples. Perform environmental and special work assignments. Observe laboratory and plant housekeeping and safety policies. Perform data management tasks on the lab data system. Assist lab management in the operation and improvement of lab systems as needed. Know the plant production process. Assist operations personnel in solving plant operating problems where possible and appropriate. Develop job proficiency enough to work alone and to make decisions based on analytical and other data Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures. Other duties as required.
