accredited private analytical laboratory specializing primarily in drinking water and water quality analysis. We also perform industrial testing, specialty analytical projects, and operate as a Massachusetts-certified dairy laboratory. Position Overview This is a hybrid laboratory and quality assurance position. We are looking for someone who will spend approximately half of their time supporting our QA/QC program and half assisting with laboratory analysis and sample throughput as needed. We are a collaborative private laboratory with a team-oriented environment. While QA/QC will be a primary responsibility of this position, we are looking for someone who is also comfortable working hands-on in the laboratory and assisting other departments when needed. Responsibilities Help maintain our

accreditation and overall laboratory Quality Management System Maintain and organize QA/QC documentation, SOPs, records, and document control Help ensure laboratory procedures and SOPs are followed consistently Review laboratory processes and data to help ensure results are accurate, traceable, and defensible Coordinate and participate in proficiency testing (PT) studies Prepare and submit blind samples to laboratory departments as part of our internal quality program Assist with internal audits, corrective actions, and investigations of QC issues Help identify opportunities to improve analytical procedures, methodology, and laboratory practices Assist with preparation for accreditation assessments and inspections Work directly with laboratory staff and management to maintain and continually improve laboratory quality Spend approximately half of the position assisting with routine laboratory analysis, sample preparation, and sample throughput where needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field preferred Previous analytical laboratory experience strongly preferred Experience with laboratory

QA/QC, ISO/IEC

17025, accreditation, or quality systems is a plus Familiarity with analytical laboratory procedures, instrumentation, SOPs, and quality control practices Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to review data, identify inconsistencies, and troubleshoot potential issues Comfortable working both independently and as part of a laboratory team Willingness to divide time between QA/QC responsibilities and hands-on laboratory work About the Position This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys both the quality side and hands-on analytical side of laboratory work. Rather than being limited to paperwork and document control, this position will be directly involved in laboratory operations, quality improvement, and analytical testing. Our goal is not simply to satisfy accreditation requirements, but to maintain a strong internal quality program that consistently produces reliable, accurate, and defensible analytical results.

Pay:

$62,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
