Job Description

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Medical Technician to perform complex laboratory testing and analysis in support of patient diagnosis and treatment. The technician will conduct chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic testing while ensuring accurate results, maintaining laboratory equipment, and following established quality-control procedures.

Needham, MA 02494
Contract:
Minimum 3-month temporary role (potential for extension or temp-hire)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30
PM Interview:
Phone screening followed by an in-person interview
Pay Rate:
$ 37.50/hr. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory testing in areas including chemistry, hematology, morphology, cytology, urinalysis, serology, histology, and bacteriology.
  • Operate analytical instruments and equipment used for complex testing and sampling.
  • Analyze and interpret test results and correlate findings with patient history, diagnosis, and clinical condition.
  • Enter laboratory findings and test results into computer systems.
  • Perform quality-control studies to ensure the accuracy and reliability of clinical data.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on assigned laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Verify proper instrument operation through calibration and functional checks.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and accurately document corrective actions.
  • Maintain instrument logs documenting repairs, replacements, maintenance, and other equipment needs.
  • Follow established laboratory procedures and applicable quality standards. Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Science, Physical Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Must meet the education and experience requirements established by CAP (College of American Pathologists) for individuals responsible for competency assessment.
  • Experience evaluating the complexity of laboratory testing being assessed.
Pay Details:
