  • 6 months We are currently hiring a R D Lab Associates for IDEXX in Westbrook to support laboratory testing and research for innovative pet healthcare products.
This opening offers pay of $19.48/hour and is a 6-month temporary assignment , with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative lab environment. This is a dynamic laboratory role where no two days are the same. You'll learn a variety of testing methods and processes , work alongside a large and diverse team, and contribute directly to research that supports animal health worldwide. Apply today!   • Conduct laboratory testing and analyses on animal specimens, including sample processing and results reporting
  • Execute and support instrument test protocols for new and existing products
  • Maintain laboratory operations, including scheduling, equipment cleanliness, and general lab upkeep
  • Manage inventory, procure supplies, and ensure consistent stocking of lab materials
  • Support lab systems, databases, documentation, and accurate recordkeeping with basic data analysis
  • Provide administrative support such as medical transcription, shipping preparation, phone coverage, and billing/pricing assistance What we're looking for:
  • Previous laboratory experience preferred, including pipetting (micropipettes and multichannel pipettes)
  • Ability to read and interpret SOPs, MSDSs, safety rules, and technical procedures and basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
