Pet Healthcare Innovation Pay Rate:
$19.48/hourSchedule:
Monday-Friday, 9a-5pAssignment Length:
Temporary - 6 months We are currently hiring a R D Lab Associates for IDEXX in Westbrook to support laboratory testing and research for innovative pet healthcare products. This opening offers pay of $19.48/hour and is a 6-month temporary assignment , with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative lab environment. This is a dynamic laboratory role where no two days are the same. You'll learn a variety of testing methods and processes , work alongside a large and diverse team, and contribute directly to research that supports animal health worldwide. - Conduct laboratory testing and analyses on animal specimens, including sample processing and results reporting
- Execute and support instrument test protocols for new and existing products
- Maintain laboratory operations, including scheduling, equipment cleanliness, and general lab upkeep
- Manage inventory, procure supplies, and ensure consistent stocking of lab materials
- Support lab systems, databases, documentation, and accurate recordkeeping with basic data analysis
- Provide administrative support such as medical transcription, shipping preparation, phone coverage, and billing/pricing assistance What we're looking for:
- Previous laboratory experience preferred, including pipetting (micropipettes and multichannel pipettes)
- Ability to read and interpret SOPs, MSDSs, safety rules, and technical procedures and basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
