Full Job Description Histology Lab Assistant Schedule:
Part-Time (Estimated 30 hours/week)
Shift:
1:00 PM - 7:00 PM Pinnacle GI Partners is a family of gastroenterology practices. This position is responsible for handling incoming/outgoing histology specimens to support the histotechnologists and pathologists in the laboratory. This role reports to Histology Laboratory Manager. Some of your responsibilities in this role Patient registration and data entry of patient demographics and test information into the surgical center and lab information systems, in an accurate and timely manner Effectively communicate with physicians and physician offices to resolve patient/specimen discrepancies. Preparing paperwork and packaging tissue slides and tissue samples to be sent for second opinion Prepare lab equipment for upcoming research experiments Report data and compile information Clean and maintain lab equipment Laboratory support duties as needed What we are looking for in a candidate: Professional certifications relevant to laboratory work are considered an asset Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy Obtained a high school diploma or GED Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process What we offer: A professional work environment where you can learn, enhance your skills and grow into new opportunities.
