General responsibilities include following our proprietary procedures to collect and prepare the samples, data entry and analysis, and laboratory quality control including documentation of work. This position also involves working with the samples within the laboratory.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing
  • Maintaining proper chain of custody records
  • Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities and equipment calibrations performed
  • Be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either must correct the problems or immediately notify the manager
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all supplies, materials, and reagents
  • Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of sample test results
Qualifications:
Overall good laboratory practice is essential. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, self-motivated and a team player with exceptional organizational skills and above average written and verbal communication skills. A valid driver's license and reliable automobile is required. Education Required
  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical, physical or biological science
Preferred:
  • Prior experience working in a cannabis laboratory, grow and/or processing facility
