Responsible for giving patients explanations of the impending sleep tests and procedures, preparing equipment for the procedures, recording activities and analyzing results - all while working under the advisement of a clinical director and/or sleep technologist.

Job Description

Category Respiratory - Sleep Tech Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for an experienced, registered Sleep Technologist with strong pediatric skills to deliver critical care as part of a respected healthcare network. This role offers involvement across several affiliated sleep lab locations and provides hands-on experience in the latest diagnostic and therapeutic sleep procedures.

Schedule:

4 days per week 10-hour shifts: 7:30 pm - 6:30 am Expect coverage at multiple affiliated lab sites according to operational needs

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including CPAP and BiPAP titrations Conduct and monitor polysomnographic recordings (PSGs) to ensure quality data acquisition Troubleshoot technical issues and assist other technicians with challenging cases Score and tabulate sleep studies based on recognized clinical guidelines, including sleep stages, respiratory events, and limb movements Prepare detailed, comprehensive sleep study reports for physician interpretation Maintain strict compliance with BRPT Standards of Conduct Work closely with pediatric patients, starting at 5 years of age, and their families to ensure comfort and accurate testing Participate in on-the-job Epic training to support workflow and documentation

Desired Abilities & Qualifications:

Registered Sleep Technologist credential is required Current BLS certification Previous experience working with pediatric populations is highly preferred Flexible to work at various sleep lab locations depending on operational needs Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support both patients and staff Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in data collection and reporting This contract assignment provides an engaging environment, professional development, and exposure to a diverse patient population.
