LAB Technician II#26-08820
Maplewood, MN
All On-site Job Description Works with moderate work direction, and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving. Worker performs chemical, biological, physical, and/or mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products. Assists with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results. Ability to follow procedures and methods and to work well on a self-directed team is required. Good mechanical aptitude and skills as well as experience and specific training in inspection procedures and/or the product line are required. Experience in a lab or technical environment is preferred. Must be computer literate with good communication and time management skills.
Summary:
The successful candidate will apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to developing and applying methods for sample preparation and analytical testing for films and sorbents. Configuring, operating, and maintaining analytical test equipment, including but not limited to chromatography instrumentation Careful preparation of test specimen Record keeping and communication of technical work and results Following and developing standard operating procedures Maintaining a safe and organized work environment Material handling, including lifting pails, moving pallets, and completing other duties as assigned One (1) year technician experience in a private, public, government or military environmen Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability and desire to excel in a highly interdisciplinary, team-oriented work environmentAdditional Qualifications:
